CoSpaces announces partnership with Invest Gold Coast for InvestFest

Sep 14, 2025

CoSpaces has announced a major partnership with Invest Gold Coast to deliver the Mayor’s Tech Lunch as the headline event of InvestFest 2025 – a two-day investment festival celebrating entrepreneurship, innovation, and the Gold Coast’s growing reputation as one of Australia’s leading destinations for business and investment.

Hosted at the newly opened Mondrian Hotel in Burleigh Heads, the Mayor’s Innovation Lunch will bring together more than 200 founders, investors, corporate leaders and business owners for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and collaboration.

The event will include a two-course lunch, a three-hour drinks package, a keynote address from Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate, and panel discussions featuring some of Australia’s most prominent technology and investment leaders.

Mayor Tom Tate said the event underscores the city’s commitment to supporting startups and growing companies, and to positioning the Gold Coast as a national hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

“The Gold Coast is the best place in Australia to build and grow a business,”

“We’re a city that backs our innovators, attracts world-class investors, and embraces new ideas. Through InvestFest and events like the Mayor’s Investment Lunch, we’re showing the rest of the country that this is a place where businesses can thrive and ideas can take off” Mayor Tate said.

Now in its second year, InvestFest has quickly become one of Queensland’s most anticipated investment events. Across the two days, the festival will host a series of curated activities designed to spark genuine connections between founders and investors – including more than 150 one-on-one investor meetings at Cohort Innovation Space, a keynote and VC panel, a dedicated investor breakfast, startup yoga and surfing session, the popular AWS Startup Basketball and a signature ecosystem networking event at La Luna Beach Club Gold Coast.

CoSpaces Program Director Dren Xerxa said the partnership reflects the organisation’s mission to strengthen the city’s innovation ecosystem and attract new investment into Gold Coast businesses.

“The Gold Coast has an incredible mix of ambition, talent and lifestyle – and investors are taking notice,” Mr Xerxa said.

“We’re proud to partner with Invest Gold Coast to deliver this year’s Mayor’s Investment Lunch, alongside some other great partners QIC, Queensland Government, Gold Coast and Knowledge Precinct, Cake Equity, AWS and Create Financial to celebrate the spirit of collaboration and opportunity that defines our city’s business community.”

The Mayor’s Innovation Lunch is open to startups looking to raise capital, SMEs seeking growth opportunities, investors, and members of the broader tech and innovation ecosystem. It promises to be a highlight of InvestFest, offering a unique opportunity to connect directly with some of Australia’s most active investors in an inspiring setting overlooking Burleigh Beach.
